Reviving a Classic: Espadon

In September 2023, the Ritz Paris unveiled the long-awaited opening of Espadon, the hotel’s lauded fine dining restaurant, which held 3 Michelin stars prior to closing down in March 2020. Reconcepted under a new (female) executive chef, in a completely different area of the hotel – where it was located back when the hotel first opened in 1898 – Espadon made its grand debut.

The challenge? Without budget for traveling journalists from the U.S. to the restaurant, our team needed to get resourceful with our pitching, and keeping a strong pulse of the writers planning trips to Paris, as well as stringers located in the City of Light that could pen stories for our key target media outlets.

The result? An unmatched onslaught of coverage in the hotel’s top target publications, reaching a curated N. American demographic that wouldn’t balk at the €290pp (€560 with wine pairings) tasting menu price tag.
