Laura Davidson is the creative force behind LDPR, a leading New York-based public relations agency that specializes in travel and lifestyle clients. For 25 years it has been in the vanguard of its industry, constantly stretching the traditional boundaries of PR, embracing new digital solutions and adding services for its roster of top international clients. Today LDPR’s client list includes destinations like Scotland, Sydney/New South Wales, Australia and Portland, Oregon; global hospitality brands like Aman Resorts; luxury hotels such as Las Alcobas Napa Valley, the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, and Gleneagles in Scotland; prestigious tour companies like Abercrombie & Kent and Sanctuary Retreats and the high-end luggage brand Briggs & Riley.
Over the years, LDPR has earned 10 Platinum Adrian PR Awards from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and in 2008, Laura was personally honored with HSMAI’s highest recognition – the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition to her agency work, Laura has played an active role in the travel industry, participating in numerous organizations including SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), CTO (Caribbean Tourism Organization), CHTA (Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association), HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association) and others. Laura is a founding board member of the Family Travel Association (FTA).
Committed to giving back, Laura involves her agency in several philanthropic initiatives—from sponsoring teachers at a primary school in Benin, West Africa to sending soccer gear to orphanages in Kenya. Laura is also an ambassador for Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy and supports the Old Road Fund in Antigua.
Laura lives in Weston, Connecticut with her husband Andrew Bill, and her two sons Tobey (15) and Jake (14) who are both intrepid travelers, ticking off destinations almost as quickly as mom does.
