Driving Bookings during shoulder seasons

The Resort at Paws Up, Montana’s premier luxury ranch resort has long made headlines as the pioneers of “glamping” in the US with travelers scrambling to get a reservation in the summer season. However, with a strong culinary focus and numerous activities on property, the resort also offers a unique proposition as an events destination, particularly in the shoulder seasons. With the resort’s recent shift from seasonal openings to being open all year round, these events became an increased focus for revenue generation and to highlight The Resort at Paws Up as an off season gem.

With minimal ad budget and limited space in top media outlets for events specific coverage, LDPR was tasked to build buzz and drive bookings for these special weekends that offered everything from Pie Camp to Wilderness Workshops to Winterfest.

Using an aggressive and creative media relations plan that included securing interviews with featured event talent to one on one media conversations with the resort owners, LDPR identified and targeted regional markets with direct flights where the resort would potentially attract off season business from.

The demand and desire for unique experiences has led to the expansion of the event program from one to more than a dozen annually with many selling out year after year.
