Love is in the air today and at LDPR, our passion for giving back is just as big as our passion for travel. Our philanthropic efforts have been a key pillar of our agency’s DNA since the very beginning. From working with Habitat for Humanity to rebuilding a house in Queens to our long-time partnership with Benin, our Philanthropy committee is always searching for ways to make an impact on the world around us.
Our latest project…Cat Vaccaro, LDPR’s newest Account Coordinator, traveled to Haiti with the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township and Foundation for Peace, and worked hand in hand with the Haitian people to build a school, provide hygiene kits and teach English to remote communities. Given her passion for Haiti and the destruction from Hurricane Matthew last October, LDPR knew this was our next mission.
“I will never forget all of the wonderful people I met in Haiti. Their happiness was contagious. Because of these life-changing experiences, I will always have a spot in my heart for my Haitian friends and will continue to give back in any way that I can,” she explained.
Well, Cat’s philanthropic energy was contagious for us. So, LDPR gathered the necessary supplies for the next round of hygiene kits to send to Haiti with Foundation for Peace. Our conference room was filled with toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, antibacterial ointment and more. With an assembly line of LDPR staffers, we packed a suitcase to the brim with hygiene kits and armed the team with supplies.
Thank you Foundation for Peace for collaborating with LDPR to help those in need in the beautiful country of Haiti!
