Hot off the, well, you know the saying! Our newest client is the aptly named Press Hotel. Our love for New England runs deep, even LDPR’s Carla Tracy calls Portland home so forgive us if we have quite the special affection for Maine. Formerly home to the Portland Press-Herald newspaper, the Press Hotel is opening April 2015 in the historic seven-story building now being transformed into a brand-new, 110-room boutique hotel. The hotel will also open with James Beard award-winning chefs Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier’s newest restaurant, M.C. Union.
The Press Hotel will be Portland’s first independent, boutique property celebrating the local arts and paying homage to the historic Press-Herald past. The Press Hotel team is working with 100 percent local artists, suppliers and artisans to create a truly Maine-authentic experience for guests.
The hotel interior will be designed by Stonehill & Taylor (the talented team behind NYC hotspots like The Ace Hotel, NoMad Hotel and the new Refinery Hotel) and the restaurant design is by Big Time Design Studios. Visit The Press Hotel’s Facebook page here to follow its progress and stay updated on its grand opening.
